Irish Duo based in Reading Berkshire

Bio

Conor & Rhiannon started playing together for St Patrick’s Day in 2017, and named themselves Mowzer after a cat of Cornish folkloric legend. With a combination of guitar, fiddle and voices, they play folk songs and tunes old and new from Ireland, Britain and America. They recorded two songs with John on the timeless Irish themes of drunkenness and deportation: here is the Pogues’ Streams of Whiskey, followed by the classic Fields of Athenry sung as a duet. Mowzer can usually be found playing in and around Reading, Bracknell and Wokingham, Berkshire. For gig updates and other snippets, they can be found on Facebook, SoundCloud and Instagram by searching MowzerDuo.
